Striker of the national team of Ukraine and Italian Roma Artem Dovbik told in an interview with the Pryama Chervona channel why he chose the Roman club, moving from Girona.

According to the striker, the key point was trust in then head coach Daniele De Rossi. Dovbik noted that he hoped to work with this club legend, but did not expect that the coach would leave the team just three matches after the start of the season.

After De Rossi’s dismissal, as the Ukrainian emphasized, he had the feeling that the reason he came to Rome was gone. Then the team was led by Ivan Yurich, but the results remained unsatisfactory.

According to Dovbik, changes began to occur only after the appointment of Claudio Ranieri; according to the Ukrainian, the experienced coach was able to gradually lead the team out of the crisis thanks to his calmness and wise management.
