Tottenham continue to closely monitor the situation surrounding Liverpool winger Kodi Gakpo, with a possible transfer currently looking unlikely. Insider Fabrizio Romano reports this.
According to Gerel, the London club's leadership highly appreciates the playing skills of the Dutch national team player and views him as one of the candidates to strengthen the attacking line. At the moment, everything has to remain in the position of Liverpool, which does not plan to be separated from its leader.
The Merseyside club is pleased with Gakpo's performances, looking forward to his participation in the 2026 World Cup. Moreover, Liverpool's management is not yet ready to consider the proposals for the sale of the winger and is not currently negotiating with potential buyers.
It appears that in the near future the footballer’s future will be discussed within the club with the participation of the new head coach Andoni Iraoli.
After this, Liverpool will be exposed to the further plans of one of its main attacking Viconavians.
Apparently, it was previously reported that Tottenham had already completed their contract with the footballer and awarded him a long-term contract until the summer of 2031. However, the interest of Spurs is lost without a practical continuation, since Liverpool do not demonstrate a readiness to release the Dutchman of this summer.
In the 2025/26 season, Gakpo played 52 matches in all tournaments, recording nine goals and six assists.
