Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri commented on his team's defeat in the 1/8 final match of the Italian Cup against Lazio (0:1).
" During the first half, we showed mercy several times during the broadcasts and gave moments to our opponent.
This is a static match, who can overcome the one who is the first to open the opponent’s defense. We didn’t take advantage of our moments and missed out after the cut, with whom we can defend better. Whose season was the same against Cremonese and Pisi: if we dominate and do not score, it becomes unsafe. We need to be thorough.
Leau had a good chance, having done well both in the penalty area and beyond. If the penalty kicker doesn’t have anything, we need to cover this area with other graves. We worked for the team, and we need everyone to live like this.
This is a defeat, but in our opinion it will be impossible to return to the Champions League for the upcoming season,” quote Allegra Football-Italia.
