The clubs of the Premier League overestimate the attendance of matches

Several clubs of the English Premier League are suspected of overstating attendance at home matches.

Last season clubs of the English Premier League artificially inflated the attendance of their home matches, reports BBC.

The edition managed to obtain from the police information about the attendance of the matches of the seven clubs of the Premier League, after which they compared them with the numbers announced by the clubs.

According to the police, the average attendance of West Ham's home matches was 42,779, while the "hammers" claimed an average attendance of 55,309 people.

In addition, the attendance of their matches has inflated more clubs, which managed to get information from the police - Manchester City, Southampton, Tottenham, Chelsea and Watford.

The only club of seven, which provided not inflated information, was Manchester United.
