Milan still managed to persuade Fiorentina to sell Croatia national team striker Nicola Kalinich.
For several weeks, negotiations between the two clubs could not get off the ground: Fiorentina claimed 30 million euros, and Milan offered 25 million. However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, a compromise was achieved due to the fact that the "devils" significantly increased the amount of possible bonuses, depending on the performances of the player.
The deal could have been drawn up today, but on August 15 Catholics in Italy celebrate Ferragosto - the Assumption of the Virgin, and it is not accepted to do business on this holiday in the Apennines.
