Midfielder Borussia M Fabian Johnson will defend the colors of the club until mid-2020.

The previous contract of Johnson expired at the end of the next season. The official website of Menchengladbach Borussia reported on a new agreement with Fabian. Now the American will play for Zherebtsov until mid-2020.

"Due to his versatility on the field, calm and flexible character in the locker room, Fabian became the team leader.

We are pleased that Johnson will remain with us for another three years, "- said the sports director of Borussia M Max Eberl.

"After moving to Gladbach from Hoffenheim 3 years ago, among my goals was to grow up in football and play in European competition. And I achieved this in Borussia, "Johnson expressed his satisfaction.

On account of Fabian 100 matches for Borussia in all tournaments in which he scored 11 goals. Johnso also conducted 54 bouts for the US team.
