Five Russian athletes were disqualified for various periods for doping.

This was announced by the All-Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA) on its official website.. The verdicts were issued on the basis of the decision of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).



Hammer thrower Tatyana Kachegina and runner Daria Tvorogova caught on the use of Meldonium, which was included in the list of prohibited substances almost three years ago. The first was disqualified for four years, and the second for two.

For 4 years, another metal dealer Natalya Polyakova was removed from the competition for methenolone, and long-distance runner Sergey Kotov received a two-year punishment for failing to attend the trial.. Two years of disqualification also wrote out the shot putter Yana Mikhailova.
