Crawford decided to leave the title of IBF, because this organization required him to immediately defend against the mandatory challenger Sergei Lipinets.
Now the duel for the vacant champion belt should be held between him and the former Japanese lightweight champion Akihiro Kondo, who takes the next place after Lipint in the IBF ranking.
