Attacker "Sapukaiensi" Marlon Nathanael was arrested by the police during a football match.
It happened during the fight of the third division of the championship of the state of Rio Grande do Sul between "Sapucaici" and "Farroupilia".
After 15 minutes of play, the police stopped the match and arrested a 21-year-old football player who was on the bench.
The police had 4 investigative warrants for the arrest of Nathanael. The player is accused of stealing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
The football player categorically denies his guilt.
"I'm a football player, I deny everything. Look who I am - I'm a football player, not a criminal, "- said Nathanel.
The team management promised to closely monitor the development of the situation and check other players.
