The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has provided an explanation of how civil servants should indicate in their declarations the New Year gifts they received. This is stated in a note by NAPK on facebook. Relatives and close persons of a public servant can give him gifts of any value. However, the cost of gifts from other persons cannot exceed 1 living wage - in 2021 it is 2270 UAH. At the same time, the total amount of gifts to an official for a year cannot exceed 2 PM - UAH 4540. A gift, the value of which exceeds 5 PM (11 350 UAH (in 2021) and 10 510 UAH (in 2020), must be reflected in the annual declaration.

In addition, if your gift is worth more than 100 PM (227,000 UAH (in 2021) and 210,200 UAH (in 2020), then it is quite possible that it will need to be entered in more than one section of the declaration. For example, if on December 31, 2020, a close person presented you with jewelry, it is indicated both in section 5 " You were given money as a gift? Do not forget to declare them if the amount of such gifts from one person (group of persons) in aggregate during the year exceeded 5 PM.
