The official representative of the US State Department, Heather Neuart, demanded from the Russian occupation authorities in Crimea the liberation of Vladimir Balukh. "It is unacceptable that Russia imprisons a citizen of Ukraine for hanging a Ukrainian flag in the Crimea and denies him medical care," said Neuert.

Thus, Balukh, whose hunger strike continues on the 44th day, becomes a symbol of resistance to the Russian occupation of the Crimea. And the symbol was not only his own courage, but also the apparent insanity of the Russian authorities, he wrote on the portal EspresoTV journalist Vitaly Portnikov.

After all, it is absolutely impossible for an outside observer to understand what Baluch was being judged for, and why he was judged. Yes, the formal charge is the storage of ammunition. Nobody believes in this accusation even in Russia itself. Everyone knows perfectly well that Russian law enforcers are able to throw anything from drugs to weapons during a search. And the fact that Balukh simply decided to punish, no one doubts that. The question is - for what?.

Balukh hung a flag of Ukraine over his house. A flag that is not forbidden by anyone in Russia. The flag that flutters over Ukrainian diplomatic missions in dozens of countries of the world - including, unfortunately, in Russia itself. And this is what we say about the need to break diplomatic relations with Russia. In Russia, they continue to maintain that they want friendly relations with Ukraine, but the Ukrainian authorities are only hindering. And the Ukrainian flag also interferes?.

In fact, there is nothing criminal and offensive in the Ukrainian flag over the Crimean's house.

Criminal and insulting is in the chain of associations that appear in any collaborator and occupier at the sight of this flag.

The flag over the house in Crimea is a reminder that even recently the peninsula was Ukrainian. And it will be - according to all canons of international law. The invaders will be expelled, the collaborators will be punished. And they perfectly understand this. And they are afraid.

Occupiers and collaborators take revenge on Baluch for their fear.
