In Antarctica, the giant iceberg split into pieces

This is reported by the publication ScienceAlert.

It is noted that the area of ??the huge block reached 267 square kilometers. Now it's just a group of scattered pieces of ice that will melt even at a more accelerated pace.

According to scientists, that usually icebergs fall apart after they swim out to the open sea.

However, in this case, he was never able to move far from the shore, presumably because of too large sea ice formations.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, NASA representatives showed pictures of a giant Antarctic iceberg that show a broken piece of glacier. It is noteworthy that the pictures were taken from an airplane.
