Since the beginning of the year, the population of Ukraine as of October 1, 2017 fell by 149.6 thousand. person, amounting to 42 million 275 thousand. human.
This is reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
There is also an increase in the rate of population decline. In January-September 2017, according to the State Statistics Committee, in Ukraine there were 274.9 thousand. children, while for the same period in 2016 this figure was 332.2 thousand. children.
For 9 months, there was a natural decline in the population - 142.6 thousand. people, whereas in January-September of 2016 the population decreased by 132 thousand. human.
These indicators do not take into account the dynamics of population change in the occupied Crimea.
