The Irish rock band U2 had to stop the concert in Berlin due to the fact that during the performance the vocalist of the band Bono lost his voice and could no longer perform songs. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, September 1, during a U2 concert at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin.

As the band later reported on its website, before the concert Bono was in "fine form", but after playing a few songs he "completely lost his voice". "We do not know what happened, and consult with the doctors," - reported on the site U2.

During the concert, Bono was able to perform the composition Beautiful Day with the help of the audience who sang along with him, then left the stage. At first the audience was informed that the concert was interrupted for a short time, however, they were subsequently informed about the completion of the show and about the possibility to exchange tickets, reports dpa.

The day before, on August 31, U2 had already given one concert in Berlin. Now the band is making a concert tour, which will last until November. Next week U2 plans to give two concerts in Cologne, and after that will go to Paris.

58-year-old Bono is known for his participation in the international movement against poverty, is a co-founder of the non-profit organization ONE, which fights poverty and disease in the world, especially in Africa.

On Tuesday, August 28, Bono met in Berlin with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and discussed with her cooperation in helping poor African countries.

So, in the first position of the rating, the Irish group U2 turned out, which since the beginning of the year managed to earn 54.4 million dollars.
