Russia is concerned about the degree of political confrontation in Venezuela

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russia is extremely concerned about the destabilization of the situation in Venezuela and stands for the settlement of internal conflicts by political means, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Zakharova noted:

"The degree of political confrontation in Venezuela is growing, and the aggravation of the aggressiveness of opposition protests is continuing to cause concern".

The diplomat noted that Russia invariably stands for the settlement of internal conflicts by political means, based on the primacy of law and non-interference from outside.

The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation concluded: "We are convinced that these provisions should form the basis for the successful resolution of the difficult situation that has developed in Venezuela, which is friendly to us".
