The Russian Defense Ministry said that the commission completed the investigation of the crash of the Tu-154 aircraft that took place on December 25, 2016 over the Black Sea in the Sochi region, RT reports in Russian.

At the disposal of RT, the statement of the Ministry of Defense says: "Based on the results of the investigation, it was established that the cause of the incident could be a violation of the spatial orientation (situational awareness) of the aircraft commander, which led to his erroneous actions with the aircraft control authorities".

As noted, the commission did not reveal violations of the current requirements for seating passengers in the cabin of the aircraft, as well as fueling the aircraft at the airport in Sochi.

Recall, December 25 last year, flying to the airbase Khemeymim aircraft of the Ministry of Defense of Russia Tu-154 disappeared from the radar. Fragments of the aircraft were found in the sea at 1.5 km from the coast near the city of Sochi. All 92 people on board were killed.
