The prospect of starting negotiations on the beginning of the accession of Ukraine and Moldova to the European Union will be considered during the winter summit in December. This was stated by the President of the European Council Charles Michel during his visit to Moldova.

According to Michel, the European Commission plans to present a report on the progress of Ukraine and Moldova on the way to joining the EU in the near future.. After the results are in, it will become clear when it is possible to start negotiations on the accession of countries to the European Union.

“Based on this report, I intend to raise the issue of starting negotiations with all three countries for their admission to the EU..
