Committee of Permanent Representatives of European Union countries to consider granting visa-free regime for Ukraine on April 26.

This is evidenced by the agenda of the meeting of the EU ambassadors on April 26, which appeared on the website of the Council of the European Union and the European Council. Thus, the list of projects that the ambassadors will consider on Wednesday says: "The regulations of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, which amends the regulations on the list of third countries, Whose citizens, when crossing external borders, need visas and countries whose citizens are exempt from such a requirement (Ukraine) ".

After the Ukrainian visa is approved by the ambassadors of the EU, it must be approved by the EU Council.



It is expected that this will happen tentatively on May 11.

Later, the signing and publication of the decision in the Official Journal of the EU visa-free will actually take effect 20 days after publication - approximately June 11.

Recall, April 6, the European Parliament voted to introduce a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens. The decision was supported by 521 MEPs, against - 75, 36 MPs abstained.
