"Our region" demands immediately to start modernizing pensions, stipulated by the law on pension insurance. This was stated by the co-chairman of the party "Our Territory" Yuri Granaturov.
According to him, recalculation of pensions is a requirement of the law, which must be fulfilled immediately.
"Annual updating of pensions is not a gift from the government, but a requirement of Ukrainian pension legislation. According to the law, recalculation of previously assigned pensions should be performed annually because of an increase in the average salary. The last time this law was observed in 2012, "- said Yuri Granaturov.
The co-chairman of the Nash Krai party stressed that the failure of the pension legislation is a practice of recent years.
"Unfortunately, modernization of pensions has not been implemented and in 2016. And this means that our parents, grandparents and our grandfathers have not received the money that would give them the opportunity to eat better and be treated, "- said Yuri Granaturov.
He noted that the government and the Pension Fund were sent an appropriate appeal with a demand to comply with pension legislation and immediately begin recalculation of pensions.
