Near Kharkov, children fell asleep in crumbling sand, one child died

The police establish the circumstances of the accident in Zolochiv district of Kharkov region. As a result of a collapse of sand, an 8-year-old girl died.

According to the police, on May 6 at about 3:20 p.m. a message was received at the local police station that children were covered with sand near Zolochev.

The investigative-operational group and the heads of the department went to the scene. It became known that three children of 9, 8, 5 years old, accompanied by their parents, played near the sand pit. Suddenly collapsed ground. Children covered with sand. They managed to pull out two at once, and the eight-year-old girl was found under the rubble only after 15-20 minutes unconscious.

Despite the adoption of resuscitation measures, the child could not be saved.
