Thanks to imitation, the SBU officers prevented the contract killing of a public activist and two more people who defended the rights of villagers in one of the districts of the Cherkasy region. This is reported by the press service of the SBU.

According to the intelligence service, a businessman from Kiev, whose family owns a land business in the Cherkasy region with shares of local residents, ordered the killing of three people. The SBU claims that in this way the businessman wanted to intimidate the villagers who demanded to increase the fee for shares.

According to the SBU, the attacker ordered the murder of a representative of the public association "Self Defense Maidan Cherkassy region, chairman of one of the village councils of the area and her close relative.

In the special service they say that they documented the meeting of the customer with the killer, who told law enforcement officers about the preparation of the crime and agreed to cooperate with the investigation.

SBU employees simulated the disappearance of the activist. Later, in the vicinity of Kiev, his murder was staged: they dug out a burial pit, against which were made several staged photos with the body of a man with traces of violent death.

Operatives of the special services documented the transfer of the customer after receiving the "evidence" of committing the murder of 15 thousand dollars and detained the attacker.

In the SBU they say that thanks to a special operation, it was possible to prevent not only murders, but also the commission of a terrorist act. In particular, the house of one of the village chairmen of the district had to be fired from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.

Recall, in May, SBU for the purpose of capturing the customer dramatized the murder of Russian journalist Arkady Babchenko in Kiev. For about 24 hours everyone was convinced of his death. Many have criticized this method of pre-trial investigation.
