In California, in the home of veterans of the city of Yuntville, an attacker who had previously captured the house and three hostages were found shot. Local police reported that all three hostages were employees of the institution, reports DW.

According to the publication, the man held hostages about eight hours. During this time, he was never contacted, to find out the motives for the attack and the demands.

He let a few people go, after which he was found dead with the remaining hostages. The police have not yet been able to establish whether the killed were randomly selected or for specific reasons.

The reasons for the death of the attacker are established.

On March 9, at 9:30 local time in Yuntville, an armed man, allegedly a 36-year-old veteran emotional rehabilitation program rehabilitated from the treatment two weeks ago, attacked the veterans' house and took several employees hostage.
