As the press service of the police reported, in November 2014 in Chernivtsi two cars collided. One of the drivers died, the passenger was seriously injured.

At the same time, the culprit of the accident was driving a car in a state of intoxication and exceeded the speed of traffic permitted in the city. The intruder failed to manage, drove to the oncoming lane and collided with a car injured.

After the accident the driver disappeared. He was declared an international wanted man.

In April 2017, the suspect was detained in Spain and placed in a local prison. He was extradited to Ukraine, law-enforcers told.

Today, taking into account the gravity of the crime and the escape of the offender, the court elected the detainee a preventive measure in the form of 60 days of arrest.
