Group KAZKA pleased fans with a video novelty.

The team shot a video for the song "Diva", with which the trio took part in the national selection for "Eurovision-2018".

"Diva is the story that miracles happen to everyone, one should only believe in them, because each of us deserves a miracle. The greatest personification of miracles in Ukrainian culture was the Christmas star and the den, which is interpreted in a video by a series of static mise-en-scene metaphors filled with Light, Faith and Miracle. ", - KAZKA members commented on their new video.

All the images are modern, but remained archaic and easily recognizable. The Angel - the precursor of the Miracle, the Shepherd playing on the sawdust, Three King in crowns and velvet robes, slender and seductive Death, beckoning in her arms with a glass of champagne, The devil who hid his true face , covered with a cross on his forehead, Goat in Hutsul guna and glasses, and other heroes of the den.

The inspiration for the creation of the video was the director, scriptwriter and artist Sergei Paradzhanov, as well as the aesthetics of his film masterpieces. It's not for nothing that there are cymbals in the arsenal of the band with the autographed director who sounded in the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors".

Video from this is a collage of several fragments of parables, telling about different Wonders, each of which is an unsolved symbol from the eternal cycle of things. The most important symbol in the video is Vera, who became the personification of Love and the present Miracle.

"This year marks 50 years of one of the most poetic works of Sergei Parajanov" Pomegranate Color ".

Our clips are a gratitude to the great master for his contribution to Ukrainian culture and its development. Like Paradzhanov, in his work "Miracles" we invested ethnography, symbolism and allegory. We want our clip to be perceived not only from the aesthetic point of view, because in it we violate the eternal themes: life and death, faith and God, carnal and spiritual, love and miracle, "said the members of the KAZKA group about the video.

The director of the video was Sergei Tkachenko, who also worked on the debut video of the band "Svyata".
