Ukraine signed a loan agreement with the government of Canada to provide Ukraine with 500 million Canadian dollars (about 400 million US dollars at the current exchange rate). Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko wrote about the loan agreement with the government of Canada on Facebook.

" The loan proceeds will be used to finance priority government spending.

But this is not only a timely contribution to supporting the financial stability of Ukraine, but also help bringing our victory over the aggressor closer,"

Marchenko clarified that credit funds are provided to Ukraine on preferential terms with a maturity of 10 years.

" Canada once again demonstrates that I am one of the world leaders and a reliable friend of Ukraine,"

Earlier it was reported that the Government of Canada will send 1 billion Canadian dollars (773 million US dollars) to help Ukraine through the IMF Special Administrative Account.
