In Italy, two trains collided head-on: many injured

In southern Italy on Tuesday, June 13, two forehead traffic collided head-on: 15 people were injured.

This was reported by Ansa.

The accident occurred in the Italian region of Apulia, a few kilometers from the city of Lecce.

According to preliminary data, two trains moving towards each other, collided because of a breakdown of the switch mechanism: on the specified road segment, traffic is carried out along one railway track.

It is noted that the speed was low, due to which it was possible to avoid the death of passengers.



At the same time, it is specified that 15 people out of 80. Also damaged is the train.

Firefighters who arrived at the scene of the incident, took the passengers to the nearest village of San Donato.
