"The Strategic Void of Ilovaisk".

These words unpleasantly hit me in the brain. Piercing and painful. It was felt by thousands of people who on this day, August 29, each time ask themselves: how to survive?.

Just read from Mikhail Podolyak a very accurate reaction to the "brilliant" interview of the chief of the General Staff that Ilovaysk was not a strategic operation: ". were dying in vain, heroically in vain ... ".

Then, various experts joined in with frightening surnames and began to shine with guesses and versions about the events in Ilovaisk. I suddenly remembered Ranevskaya's words: "There are people in whom God lives, there are people in whom the devil lives, and there are people in whom live only worms".

Yesterday I began to write an answer to the chief of the General Staff for his next escapade, but in time stopped myself. Why respond to a person who has worms with an annual exacerbation to sacred dates? And why appeal the facts and evidence, trying to expose the lie, when it's important to say something else: let's keep silent.

Let's shut it all together at least on this day. It is a day of mourning and painful memories. A military man, especially a Chief of the General Staff, sometimes just needs to close his mouth and shut up. The military in general should talk less in front of the cameras, unless of course he does not want to resign.

Such chatter devalues ??the heroism and dedication of people who have gone to certain death for the sake of Ukraine's independence and integrity. All these people knew nothing about the "strategic emptiness of Ilovaisk".

Yesterday I got a call from Yury Bereza. We talked, and I realized that we are equally difficult to survive these days. And the fact that the war is not over. And no one knows what mistakes await us.
