According to the OSCE Secretary General, the meeting with the American diplomat preceded the Munich Conference on Security that opened today.
During the meeting, the aggravation of the situation in eastern Ukraine and ways to overcome the impasse in the political and security spheres were discussed.
Earlier, the OSCE declared a "spiral of violence" in eastern Ukraine. And the deputy head of the OSCE observation mission in the Donbass, Alexander Hug, stressed that the situation on the contact line remains unpredictable.
As previously reported in "URA-Inform", in the area of ??the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbass last week the mission observed a very dangerous situation.
