Ukraine is ready to exchange more than 300 people for 88 of its citizens held in the uncontrolled territories of Donbass.

This was stated by the first deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada, Irina Gerashchenko, who represents Kiev in the humanitarian subgroup of the Tripartite Contact Group (TAG) for the settlement of the situation in the Donbass as part of Ukraine, Russia and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

"We managed to establish 88 of our hostages from the list of 144, - where they are. And we are ready to hand over 313 people to the ORDO-ORLO (separate regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions), which allows Ukrainian legislation to free our hostages, "Gerashchenko said in Kiev. According to her, the exchange can and should be implemented immediately.

Earlier representatives of the contact group reported their willingness to compromise in order to liberate their citizens. "Within the humanitarian subgroup, the Ukrainian side conveyed to its representatives the vision of conditions for the release of Ukrainian hostages. In turn, Ukraine is ready to compromise for the liberation of our citizens.
