The Daily Telegraph publishes an article by former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton dedicated to the meeting between Putin and Trump in Hamburg. "Before the meeting of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on the G20, speculation in the media reached a hysterical level," writes Bolton. - Will this look like a Reagan-Gorbachev unification meeting in 1986 or a meeting between Hitler and Chamberlain in 1938? "Naturally, she was not like any of them. Bolton believes that, on the contrary, the purpose of this event was to assess each other. This was especially important for Trump, whose opponents (not having exact proofs) associate his presidential campaign with Russia. And although Rex Tillerson reported after the meeting that the US president had returned several times during the talks on the topic of Russian intervention in the American elections, according to Trump's critics in America, he had not done enough. But the author of the article believes that we do not know the details of the conversation - and more importantly, that the US president has gained some experience. "Trump got experience with Putin when he, in his eyes, lied, denying Russian interference in the elections," writes Bolton. - And for Trump this is a very useful lesson for understanding the nature of the Russian leader.

This should be a loud signal for him about how much Moscow values ??honesty. Whether it is interference in elections, nuclear deterrence, military control in the Middle East - you can negotiate with Russia only at your own peril and risk ". Of course, the author writes at the conclusion of the article in the Daily Telegraph, there were talks and much more. But the most important thing for years to come is what lessons Trump will learn that watched Putin in action.
