Ukraine could not provide enough evidence. Such a decision was announced on Wednesday, April 19, by the presiding judge of the United Nations International Court of Justice in The Hague, Ronnie Abraham.

According to him, as part of the consideration of Russia's violation of the Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, Ukraine asked the court to establish that Russia must exercise control over its borders in order to prevent further financing of terrorism, including the supply of weapons from the territory of the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine.

Ukraine also asked to stop all money transfers from the territory of Russia, as well as the supply of weapons, vehicles and equipment to factions that take part in terrorist attacks against civilians in Ukraine. In addition, Ukraine asked the Court to oblige Russia to take all measures that depend on it, so that any groups that operate in Ukraine and previously received money, weapons, vehicles, equipment and training from the territory of the Russian Federation refrained from committing terrorist attacks against civilians in Ukraine.

At the same time, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Elena Zerkal explained why the International Court of Justice adopted such a decision.

According to her, the Ukrainian side proceeded from the fact that it was necessary to prove the previous jurisdiction and to provide just proof of the violation of the convention.

The court acknowledged that this is not enough for them to make decisions, so now Ukraine will focus on proving guilt and on bringing down intentions to shoot down, for example, the MN-17, "she explained..

Recall, the International Court of Justice in The Hague began to announce the decision in the case "Ukraine vs. Russia".

As reported URA-Inform, the Hague court ordered Russia to lift the ban on the Mejlis in the Crimea.
