Thunderstorms, hail and squalls are expected in western Ukraine on Sunday, July 3, the Ukrhydrometeorological center warns. Bad weather will also affect the Vinnitsa region.
“On July 3, thunderstorms in the western and Vinnitsa regions, hail and squalls of 15-20 m / s in some areas during the day,” the report says..
I level of danger, yellow declared in: Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Vinnitsa, Chernivtsi, Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
“In places where heavy rains pass, a significant local and slope runoff is expected to form, a sharp increase in water levels in small watercourses with flooding of low-lying areas in settlements as a result of littering of channels and drainage ditches; in mountainous areas there is a threat of the formation of individual mudflows,” experts warn.
At the same time, in most of the territory of Ukraine, in Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions, an emergency level of fire danger will remain on July 2-3 (II level of danger, orange).
