British, Chilean, Spanish and American astronomers said that the relict cold spot represents an artefact of the collision of the observed world with a parallel universe. The corresponding study is published in the journal Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. "Perhaps the most exciting explanation (low spot temperature) is that the cold spot arose as a result of a collision of our universe with another bubble," said co-author Professor Tom Shanks. In the study, scientists refuted the view that the relic cold spot is a super-void - a giant empty space (without galaxies and clusters) between galactic threads. The authors arrived at similar conclusions analyzing data on about three thousand galaxies located in the area of ??the relic cold spot.

Relic cold spot is an area in the constellation Eridani, located at a distance of about three billion light years from the sun. The temperature of the region, in the cross-section reaching 1.8 billion light years, is 0.00015 degrees Celsius lower than the average for relict thermal radiation (minus 270.43 degrees Celsius). Earlier it was reported that scientists discovered a giant planet, consisting of a "foam plastic".

The scientists found the place of collision of two universes.
