Ukrainians should be mindful of scammers who keep pace with the times, actively learn the Internet, enjoy the excessive trustfulness of fellow citizens, and therefore, to avoid losses, people should not disclose secret information about themselves to strangers.

This was warned in the press service of the National Police.

"With the help of the Internet and message boards people place information about the sale of things and indicate their bank account number where money should be transferred. Call them cheaters and are willing to make a purchase and transfer money. Using the phone instructions of intruders, sellers report the secret question of the bank, pin-codes coming to the mobile, and other data through which scammers withdraw all the money from citizens, "police warned..

Guardians of the order reminded that Ukrainians need to be cautious when performing money transactions, especially via the Internet.

"In no case should anyone notify the information about the payment card or card account, for example, a PIN code, access passwords to the accounts, the validity period of the payment card, credit limits, personal data, and so on," the police stressed..

Also, Ukrainians are advised to use separate payment cards with a limited limit for payments on the Internet, which are provided only for this purpose and do not allow the card to be used for transactions in trading networks or withdrawing cash.

Separately, the police advised to use sites only known and proven online stores, and in case of doubt - to abandon the proposal and look for other options.
