Presented a wireless set of virtual reality HTC Vive Focus

As we expected, the new helmet of virtual reality, which HTC introduced yesterday, was named Vive Focus.

HTC Vive Focus is a wireless all-in-one solution, that is, neither a smartphone nor a connected computer is needed to operate the headset. As a single-chip system using the mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.

The headset is equipped with cameras that analyze the space surrounding the user and eliminate the need for additional sensors. The device received a high-resolution AMOLED display. Detailed specifications, like the price, are kept secret for the time being.

HTC claims that this is the first of its kind device that provides users with six degrees of freedom.

Vive Focus uses an open platform Wave VR, and access to content is provided through the store Viveport VR.

The company added that more than 100 collectives already work on the content for Vive Focus, while the headset is also positioned as an innovative solution for learning.

Under the name HTC Vive Focus device will be released in the Asian market, but before the end of the year will be presented a version that is designed for the US and Europe.
