This was stated at a press conference by the head of the Department for Counteracting Cybercrime of the Pridneprovsky Department of Cyber ??Police Yuri Zaskoka.

- The number of citizens injured by cybercriminals has sharply increased. The ERDR has information on 556 such crimes. In comparison with the last years the number of such offenses has increased by 20%. Victims of cybercriminals are sometimes even law enforcement officers, bank employees and journalists, - said Yuri Zaskoka.

Most often, Internet scammers ask people to provide them with personal information: phone numbers and bank cards. Police officers strongly recommend that such confidential information should not be provided to strangers.
