Miami-based company Blu, specializing in the release of inexpensive smartphones on Android, was suspended from sales in the online store Amazon. According to CNET, this happened after experts found that pre-installed in smartphones Blu software collects personal data of users and sends them abroad.
At last week's BlackHat security conference in Las Vegas, Kryptowire from Virginia said that the software of the Chinese company Shanghai Adups Technology is still present on some mobile devices Blu. This software can be used for remote access to user data, call history and for interception of messages.
"Since the security and confidentiality of our customers is of paramount importance, all models of Blu phones will not be available for purchase on Amazon. Com, until the problem is resolved, "- said in a statement Amazon, received by e-mail resource CNET.
In turn, Blu last week rejected accusations of any offense, saying that it implements a number of programs to ensure the security and confidentiality of customers.
This is not the first time Blu is removed from sales in the online store Amazon. Last October, her phones were removed from sales after Kryptowire first discovered Adups spyware on the Blu R1 HD smartphone, Amazon's best-selling model and the company's most popular model. Adups then called the software installation for tracking the "error", after which the application was removed from the models R1 HD and Life One X2.
