Thanks to the English programmer Kevan Davis in "Wikipedia" you can now play. Davis first thought of turning the most popular Internet encyclopedia into a text adventure - a genre that was quite popular in the 80s of the last century. The project was named Wikipedia: The Text Adventure and already works in any desktop or mobile web browser.

The game does not have any specific purpose and plot. In Wikipedia: The Text Adventure we can only explore various famous places and places of interest, simultaneously reading information about them. Moving in one direction or another is carried out by typing text commands such as "go east" or "go west". You can also pick up some items by typing "take" and indicating the name of the item you are interested in.

In the future, they are not useful, but is it not funny to pocket, say, the famous painting "Mona Lisa"?.

You can play Wikipedia: The Text Adventure by clicking on this link. By the way, over a similar project, Kevan Davis worked several years ago in the novel Novel Writing Month. To write a book in a short time, he created a program for automatically extracting text from the Wikipedia API. The result, according to Davis, was like a strange and crumpled version of the novel "Around the World in 80 Days".
