American experts in honor of the 10th anniversary of the iPhone conducted an analysis of the success of each released on the market model and named the most unsuccessful smartphone company Apple.

Contrary to the assumptions, the most unsuccessful in terms of market performance declined is not the plastic iPhone 5c. The worst financial year for the company was the iPhone 5, which was introduced in 2012.

The novelty received a larger 4-inch screen instead of the 3.5-inch predecessor. However, on the day of the premiere of the device Apple's shares grew by only one percent, which was the worst result for many years.

IPhone 5 could not bring the company a big profit after a year of sales. Among the main drawbacks of the model are the new Apple branded cards with which the device was delivered to the market. There were many shortcomings and mistakes in them, and the three-dimensional coverage left much to be desired.

Another drawback of the iPhone 5 is the new Lightning type dock connector, which caused a lot of criticism from Apple fans. Owners of "apple" smartphones are accustomed to the universality of all products. As a result, they had to buy adapters for cars and plug-ins to all possible devices.

With the release of iPhone 5, Apple increased the display, and many applications were not optimized. Due to the fact that the company kept the parameters of the device under strictest secrecy, application developers simply did not have time to quickly re-engineer the software under the "five" screen.

Also, Apple switched to nano-SIM cards - a new ultra-compact version of SIM-cards.

Owners of iPhone 5 had to switch to other "sims", as it was after the iPhone 4 with a micro-SIM slot.

Finally, another drawback of the iPhone 5 is the controversial design. Failure of the glass rear panel and a reduction in the thickness of the front forced Apple to change the design of the metal rim surrounding the smartphone from the end. Its edges have been chamfered. And although it looks wonderful on black copies of the smartphone in these places, the coating had the property of peeling off, exposing silvery aluminum.
