Huawei, in partnership with China Mobile, has formed a dedicated experimental site for testing the technology of coordination of 5G operation in the upper and lower bands.

Tests show that the average data transfer rate can reach 1.7 Gb / s with a channel width of 200 MHz at a low frequency. At the same time, mmWave technology allows increasing the network bandwidth without losing reliability in the "access point" mode when connecting to a 5G network at a low frequency and millimeter wavelengths.

As a result, with a double connection, a bandwidth of up to 18 Gb / s can be achieved for a single user. Recall that for future 5G networks, the maximum data rate at 20 Gbit / s.

A new experimental site will help in the development of mobile communication technologies of the fifth generation.

It is alleged that it allows you to evaluate performance and key technical solutions in conditions close to real network configurations.

In addition, the site can be used to demonstrate the advanced capabilities of future services based on 5G. For example, it is capable of providing high throughput and minimal delay when loading a street panorama in ultra-high resolution, shot by a camera with a viewing angle of 360 degrees. As a result, the end user will be able to experience the real-time presence effect remotely through the virtual reality system.
