The problem of using smartphones while driving is getting sharper every year. If earlier people just talked while driving a car, now some people manage to sit behind the wheel in social networks and even watch videos. Naturally, this greatly increases the risk of getting into an accident or creating an emergency situation.

However, no effective methods for solving a problem that would not violate human rights have not yet been invented. Nissan offers to solve it quite simply. The company showed the technology of Nissan Signal Shield, which in fact is a cage of Faraday.

On the basis of the Faraday cage in the car Juke implemented boxing in the armrest. That is, it is enough to put a smartphone there, as it loses any connection with the outside world. That is, notifications do not come to him, you can not get through to him, which means that the mobile device will not distract the driver. Of course, you can just turn off the smartphone, but the on and off of a modern device takes not too little time, and in the case of Nissan Signal Shield, it's enough just to open the box and get the phone.

But all this works only when the user himself is ready to abandon the smartphone while driving, realizing the danger.

And such people often and without any Faraday cages ways to put off the mobile device and not to touch it without unnecessary necessity, being in the driver's place. In addition, in the case of using the Nissan method, a person will not be able to see an important message or take an important call, which in some cases can also lead to undesirable consequences.

Note that the box with the technology of Nissan Signal Shield is a prototype. Perhaps in the future it will appear as an option for the cars of the Japanese company, but so far the prospects for this development are unknown.
