Scientists using a Hubble telescope received a snapshot of the bright galaxy NGC 7250, which is experiencing a burst of star formation and in which a record explosion of a supernova. However, as reported on the site of the telescope, the galaxy is eclipsed by the light of the star TYC 3203-450-1.

This effect is caused by the fact that the star TYC 3203-450-1, which is located in the constellation of the Lizard, is much closer to the telescope than the galaxy. This leads to the fact that an ordinary star eclipses a galaxy consisting of billions of luminaries.

The star is a billion times closer than NGC 7250, which is located at a distance of 45 million light years from Earth. If the galaxy and the star were at the same distance, the star would be barely discernible in the picture.
