The document aims to ensure access to medicines for patients with coronavirus and to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among the population of Ukraine.

Ukrainian legislation allows the use of drugs registered in Ukraine as well as unregistered drugs for the treatment of COVID-19, clinical trials of which are approved in the prescribed manner and whose purpose is to study the effectiveness and safety of such drugs in the treatment of COVID-19.

Access to experimental drugs - cutting-edge inventions can help fight coronavirus. This applies to drugs that are not registered, but certain studies have already been conducted with a view to their safety and effectiveness and are recommended by the official body of the USA, member countries of the European Union, Great Britain, the Swiss Confederation, Japan, Australia, Canada, China, the State of Israel. Relevant practice in many countries of the world..

The law that the President signed continues to apply this practice in Ukraine until January 1, 2021. The law shall enter into force on the day following the day of its publication..
