The authors of the work were specialists from the UK, the results of their work can be seen in the printed edition of Diabetic Medicine.

The study involved 88,000 men. It was found that the highest risks for the development of this problem are men who have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. In men with this disease, erectile dysfunction manifests itself ten to fifteen years earlier than in healthy young people.
