While the world is actively engaged in antiparasitic therapy, a scientist from London deliberately infected himself with parasites. James Logan - English researcher pursued only one goal - to study the influence of helminths on allergies.

With the help of roundworms hookworm, who made their way through the skin into the circulatory system, Logen achieved the transportation of helminths into his own lungs and the gastrointestinal tract. Further, the scientist-researcher could observe the entire process with the help of a miniature video camera, which was built into a special capsule, swallowed by the scientist in advance. Two months later, the scientist observed the manifestation of an allergy, from which he could not get rid of, for flour products.

It turned out that the bread and pizza did not cause an allergic reaction (diarrhea and abdominal pain), as before. Immediately after the study, the scientist took an anthelmintic medication to get rid of hookworm.

James Logan concluded that hookworm increased in blood eosinophilic leukocytes, which absorb pathogens of allergic reactions. The scientist believes that this information will help in creating unique high-performance drugs for allergies.
