Scientists claim that a substance isolated from green tea will help in the treatment of tumoral diseases of the bladder, according to an Internet publication for girls and women from 14 to 35 years old Pannochka. net A new study, led by Dr. Carl Camberlin of the Medical Institute of Toledo, set out to investigate the EGCG substance isolated from the leaves of green tea. The study was performed on rats in which tumor cells were implanted. Thirty minutes after the injection of cancer cells from a part of the animals, EGCG therapy was administered, which was injected directly into the bladder.
In 64% of the experimental animals the treatment was successful, and after three weeks they did not find cancer cells, unlike the "control" group of animals for which treatment was not performed, and the bladder tumor progressed. According to the author of the study, Carl Kemberlin, the results of the study allow the use of the chemical substance EGCG for the treatment of human bladder cancer. At the same time, it does not present any difficulties from the leaves of green tea.
