According to the researchers, women at the age of 20, 30, 40 years, consuming meat and fatty dairy products, such as cheese, ice cream and butter in large quantities, may increase the risk of developing breast cancer.

These studies were published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute and provided another incentive for women to avoid fatty foods and consume fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals.

Comparing the two groups of women, the researchers found that a group of women with a high level of fat intake had a 33% greater risk of developing breast cancer than a group with a low level. Women in the high-risk group consume about 23% of calories from animal fats, while in the low-risk group only 12%.

Fats of vegetable origin do not affect the development of breast cancer.
