Almost 2/3 of women suffer from various sexual dysfunctions. To shed light on this problem, the researchers interviewed 587 women aged 18 to 95 years who used the services of a urology clinic in New Zhdersi, notes The Times of India.

As part of the survey, scientists were interested in six key issues related to sexual problems: lack of desire, problems with arousal, lack of natural lubrication, problems in achieving orgasm, dissatisfaction and pain in sexual intercourse.

Commented the co-author of the study, Dr. Debra Fromer: "We found that 63% of women suffered from sexual disorders. There was a significant relationship between the disorders and age of women, menopause and the use of antidepressants ".

So, the most sexually active women were 31-45 years old (87%). Then followed a group of 18-30-year-olds (85%), and then 46-54-year-olds (74%). Then there was a significant decrease in activity: 45% in 55-70-year-olds and 15% in women older than 70 years.

As for indicators of the most common problems, 47%. Problems with orgasm were 45%, problems with excitation - 40%, dissatisfaction - 39%, insufficient amount of natural lubrication - 37%, and pain - 36%.

Notably: five out of six problems became the most relevant as women grew older. The lack of desire increased from 36 to 96%. Problems with excitation - from 27 to 54%, with lubrication - from 26 to 45%, with satisfaction - from 28 to 88% and pain from 10 to 56%.

The only problem not falling under this pattern was orgasm.

More problems experienced women namely 18-30 years (54%), and not in 31-45 years (43%) and 46-54 (48%). In 55-70 years, this indicator increased to 66%, and in women older than 70 - to 87%.

What is the reason for this dependence, scientists can not say unequivocally, but they emphasize that problems in the sexual sphere greatly affect the quality of a woman's life, on her self-esteem, a sense of completeness of life, on relationships, being a serious emotional burden.
