A few years ago, scientists advanced the hypothesis of the health benefits of bread crust, and only now this fact could be proved, the Indian specialists.

Scientists conducted an experiment on laboratory mice. It turned out that a crust of bread protects against cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, say the researchers. Thus, regular consumption of crusty bread crusts reduces the risk of developing cancer of the stomach and intestines by 72%.

However, specialists have not been able to pinpoint the mechanism of the impact of the brown bread crust on the body, it is planned to find out in the near future in the course of carrying out new research works.
