Original photographs of the sky over great places rarely leave the eye wary behind the mirrors, even as the brighter light fades the darkness of the lightly distant celestial bodies. Thanks to a special filter and the ingenuity of the astrophotographer, he was able to capture a wondrous sight - the Chumatsky Way, which sows above the gloomy forests of Manhattan. This hostile light, published by NASA, reminds us of the cosmic wonders available to the most intense minds of our people..
The cry of light obstruction.
“The light darkens the eyes in the Place, so that no one can sleep,” - this is how the explanation begins before the photograph, as if it seemed a little awkward. The main warning is that standing in Times Square is unlikely to happen next to the bright illumination. However, photographer Jason Kurth and his colleague Ty Buckley took a special approach to show us that our Universe is not so far away..
Technologies for space exploration.
The key to success is the use of a special filter that blocks most of the visible light. Natomist, it misses the vibration in the near-infrared range, which has lower energy. This technique made it possible to “filter” a significant part of the light congestion from the mist jelly. Although old light bulbs and neon lights are not bright in the near-infrared spectrum, modern light-emitting diode (LED) and fluorescent lamps may not reflect on such a photo. Of course, the stars themselves, including those that make up Chumatsky Shlyakh, are also extremely bright in this range.
Guess about our place in the Universe.

This photograph is not just a beautiful picture, but a deeper insight into the fact that we all live under the same sleeping sky. Astronomy, as a science, gives us the unique ability to explore the cosmos, reveal its secrets and better understand our place in the boundless Universe. In the middle of a noisy and vibrant metropolis like New York, you can touch cosmic grandeur, as you know what and where to marvel.
